2. Information We Collect

Account and sign-in information

If you create an account or sign in, we collect information needed to create, secure, and maintain your account. Depending on the sign-in method you choose, this may include:

Learning, practice, and progress information

The App may store information about how you use SAT prep features, including practice answers, flagged questions, missed vocabulary words, known words, root-word status, test drafts, test answers, test scores, game results, accuracy, elapsed time, completion dates, and similar learning-progress data.

Device, app, and technical information

We and our service providers may receive technical information such as device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language settings, IP address, approximate region, crash or error information, and basic logs needed to provide, secure, and improve the App.

Advertising and ad personalization information

We plan to use Google AdMob to show ads in the App. Google AdMob and its advertising partners may collect or receive information from your device and your use of the App for advertising, ad measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, frequency capping, and security. This may include IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, device information, app interactions such as ad views or taps, diagnostic information, advertising identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID or Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) where available and permitted, app set identifiers, cookies or similar technologies on web surfaces, and other identifiers used to deliver and measure ads.

If personalized ads are enabled and you provide any required consent, ads may be selected based on previously collected or historical information, such as your interests, app or website activity, approximate location, or demographic information. If you choose non-personalized ads where that choice is available, ads may still use contextual information, coarse location, cookies, mobile ad identifiers, or similar technologies for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, fraud prevention, and ad delivery.

Information you send to us

If you contact us for support, request account help, report a bug, or send feedback, we may collect your contact details and the content of your message.

3. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

We do not use your learning progress to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Where Information Is Stored

Some information is stored locally on your device, including practice progress, test progress, vocabulary review lists, game results, and other learning activity. Local storage may be deleted if you uninstall the App, clear app data, reset your browser storage, or use device-level deletion tools.

Advertising consent choices and privacy preferences may also be stored locally on your device or processed by Google AdMob, the Google User Messaging Platform, or other consent tools so that your choices can be respected.

Account information is handled through Firebase Authentication, a Google service. Firebase Authentication may store account identifiers, email addresses, provider information, and authentication metadata on Google-operated systems.

As the App evolves, we may add cloud sync or account-based storage for learning progress. If we do, we will use that information to make your progress available across signed-in devices and will update this policy as needed.

5. Sign-In Providers

Email/password sign-in

Email/password accounts are authenticated through Firebase Authentication. Firebase verifies your credentials, manages secure sign-in sessions, and provides the App with authentication status and basic account information.

Google Sign-In

If you choose Google Sign-In, Google may ask you to authorize sharing basic profile information with the App. We use that information only to create or sign you into your App account, maintain your session, and provide the App's features.

Sign in with Apple

If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide us with a unique identifier for your Apple account. If you choose to share your email address, we may receive it. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we may receive an Apple private relay email address that forwards messages to your Apple account email while helping keep your personal email private.

Your use of Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Firebase, app stores, and device platforms is also subject to the privacy policies and controls provided by those companies.

6. Ads, AdMob, and Your Ad Choices

We plan to use Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may work with Google and other ad technology providers to deliver, personalize, measure, and secure ads. These providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, mobile advertising identifiers, device identifiers, and similar technologies as part of ad serving and measurement.

Personalized ads

Personalized ads are ads selected or influenced by previously collected information, such as your interests, prior activity on apps or websites, approximate location, or demographic information. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before Google or its ad partners use personal information for ad personalization.

Non-personalized ads

Non-personalized ads are not based on your past behavior. They may be based on contextual information, such as the content of the App, your general location, or the current ad request. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention where permitted by law.

Consent and privacy messages

In regions where consent or opt-out choices are required, we may show privacy messages through Google AdMob's Privacy & messaging tools, the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP), a Google-certified consent management platform, or other compliant consent tools. These messages may let you consent, decline consent, manage ad partners and purposes, choose personalized or non-personalized ads, or opt out of certain uses of personal information.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google requires certain disclosures and consent for cookies or other local storage where legally required, and for the collection, sharing, and use of personal data for ads personalization. For users in certain U.S. states, privacy messages may include a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" or targeted advertising opt-out option where required.

iOS App Tracking Transparency

On iOS and iPadOS, Apple may require an App Tracking Transparency permission prompt before the App or AdMob can access the IDFA or track activity across other companies' apps or websites. If you deny that permission, we may still request ads, but the IDFA will not be sent for that ad request.

Device-level ad controls

You may be able to reset or delete your mobile advertising identifier, limit ad tracking, or change ad personalization settings through your device settings, Google Account settings, Apple settings, or in-app privacy options where available. You can learn more about how Google uses information from partner apps and sites at Google's partner sites policy.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, some privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" broadly enough to include certain advertising uses, including sharing identifiers or app activity with advertising partners for personalized ads. Where those laws apply, we will provide required notices and choices.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

8. Analytics and Tracking

We may use app diagnostics, crash reporting, security logs, ad reporting, and privacy-conscious analytics to understand whether the App is working correctly, how ads perform, and how to improve the App. AdMob and related ad providers may collect app interaction data, ad interaction data, diagnostic data, IP address, and identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

If we add subscriptions, purchases, new analytics tools, mediation networks, or other third-party tools that materially change how information is collected or shared, we will update this policy and provide any required notices or choices.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the App, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect security.

Locally stored learning progress remains on your device until you delete it, clear app/browser data, uninstall the App, or the App removes outdated or corrupted local records. Account information stored by Firebase Authentication generally remains until the account is deleted, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Advertising and consent-related records may be retained by Google, AdMob, ad partners, or consent management providers according to their own policies and legal obligations. Aggregated ad reporting and fraud-prevention records may be retained even after account deletion where permitted by law.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain privacy requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights that apply to you.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. Firebase Authentication and sign-in providers help secure account authentication. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children and Students

Ace The Verbal: SAT Prep is intended for SAT preparation users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps, which may include deletion.

We do not knowingly use personalized advertising based on past or current activity from users we know are under 13 or from App experiences directed to children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

If a school, tutor, parent, or guardian uses the App with a student, that person or organization is responsible for obtaining any required consent and complying with applicable student privacy laws and policies.

13. International Users

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms to transfer and protect personal information.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Your continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
